They shut down in research triangle Park. Management was fat dumb and happy. A lot of people didn't work their full week. They just couldn't keep up with the technology of the competition.

Good place to work, great opportunities.Multiple locations to work from and variety of clients. Company is more of process oriented and sometimes it gets little slow following through them.

Ericsson is always laying off in US and moving work overseas. The colleagues are very cooperative and work together to solve complex problems. People are dedicated, hard working, talented, innovative and very smart.

Over a 2 year period, I had 6 different managers and 5 different directors, so effectively there was no management. Contractors shuffled in and out in a flurry as well, so there was no depth of knowledge on anything. Very little real engineering was occurring. The only created in that environment was politics with technical people (who don't play that game) getting lost in the mess.

This company is horrible i do NOT advice anyone to work for this company, yes its global and big but working there will keep you always on your toes. The company culture is all about who you know, its filled with incompetent people they have at least 1 to 2 layoffs every single year and those layoffs are not all the time related to business going down, they just do it every year as part of their business and of course sometimes because of business trends Managements are liers and incompetent he would keep telling you something as a lie for months and then you would find out he was lying and when you ask him why they reply its just the business forces us to do that The company has only some hardware that are selling out and mostly they get their business with bribes and such. working there will not advance your skills as you think they are horrible with tools & processes they have a poor training program Every single year there is a re-organization and management & teams will shift you basically change a manager once or twice a year this an evidence of poor leadership the companies business is more about services they will be crushed soon by companies such as google, Facebook, apple, and others the reason they do NOT have an advantage with their technology

Ericsson has a vast disconnect between customer's needs and the company's focus. Our team was building features without knowing if customers really needed them. Our product was sold as an add-on to other products and customers never used our product.

There are managers and their working bees. Managers are full of ideas how their bees should work, selfdevelop, adjust themself to the all changes of the business environment, to be innovative, etc. And they will also keep their working bees informed about how happy are shareholders with them! However these managers will never get involved with the actual implementation of such wonderful ideas. They will simply empower poor bees, which now have to do not only their daily work, but at the same time, their selfdevelopment, analyzing global financial and business trends, generate multi-millions work improvements, etc., etc. All that is really great, however it is simply not fitting into available time = 24 hours. Working bees will become completely "burnt out". Members of their families will see them only sporadically during some long weekends. As a direct result of that the working environment became quite bizare. Trust will simply vaporize to thin air and everybody is only protecting their own working mini-field. And at this point of time the managers will come with another wondreful idea. Their will decide to share all these crazy achievements with some under-develop countries via a magic outsourcing. Some of their current, lucky bees will get "a marching order package" and that will be the best for them. Others will be persuaded by managers to "grab a lifetime opportunity", accept ~6 months separation from their families, flying repeatedly to 3rd world countries to share their vaste knowledge with the new breed of bees. I started my career working for Johnson and Johnson as a Territory Manager then moved to the Financial Analysis world with Telcordia. Over the years I learned how to generate the reports I was reviewing using tools such as Business Objects/Crystal, Oracle Discoverer, MS .net/Reporting Services....etc. Ultimately I elevated to a senior developer level and created the Corporate financial Data Warehouse using various tools like ERwin, Informatica, SQL and PL/SQL.
