Your role and responsibilities

Technology Centre in Brno is responsible for Research and Development of MV switchgears, Service solutions, Tendering configurators and Instrument Transformers and Sensors. The Technology Centre offers excellent career opportunities and international work experience. In order to further strengthen our team, we are seeking R&D Team Leader for instrument transformers and sensors group. It is great opportunity for candidates, who want to grow. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Technology Centre in Brno, Vídeňská, Czech Republic You will be mainly accountable for: • Support Technology Centre Manager in the planning and management of research and development activities and resources • Responsible for resource allocation within the department and for development projects for an assigned domain • Responsible for the planning, distribution and control of allocated budget • Creates technology road map for an assigned domain • Ensures distribution, implementation and execution of all guidelines relevant to department activities • Apply appropriate development and quality standards and monitor local product quality • Serve as a technical resource for internal and external contacts • Manage assigned resources for R&D activities, assign tasks to team members • Ensure appropriate competencies are developed and acquired within the team to support development of future products

Qualifications for the role

• University degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Min. 5 years’ experience in a project management, product management or management role
• Experience in product development processes
• Experience and good understanding of electrical products and systems (instrument transformers and sensors’ technology, its components and applications)
• Good financial know-how (cost calculation, EBIT, NPV, etc.)
• Innovative and visionary thinking with focus on “design to cost” approach
• Good soft skills in relation to team leading and team members’development
• Result oriented, team-player and ability effectively communicate on different level in organisation
• Good understanding of the relevant IEC standards
• Fluent in English
