As a Monitoring Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our monitoring infrastructure, promptly resolving incidents and change requests, and safeguarding the business continuity of critical IT solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing monitoring systems, analyzing data to identify potential issues, and implementing proactive measures to prevent disruptions. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall stability and reliability of our IT environment.

2. Náplň práce - konkrétní pracovní činnosti / Work content - specific working activities

Monitoring Infrastructure Operation: Manage and operate monitoring tools and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Incident Resolution: Investigate and resolve incidents reported by monitoring systems or users, ensuring timely resolution to minimize impact on operations.

Change Management: Implement changes to monitoring configurations and systems as required, following established change management procedures to maintain system integrity.

Business Continuity: Develop and maintain strategies to ensure the continuous monitoring of critical IT solutions, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.

Alert Management: Configure alert thresholds and notifications to accurately detect and report on anomalies or potential issues within the IT infrastructure.

Performance Optimization: Analyze monitoring data to identify areas for performance improvement, recommending and implementing optimizations as necessary.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of monitoring configurations, procedures, and incident resolution processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT operations, infrastructure, and application teams to address monitoring-related issues and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to IT staff on monitoring tools and processes, enabling effective use and troubleshooting.

Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in IT monitoring and proactively identify opportunities for enhancing monitoring capabilities and processes.

    Proficiency in operating and administering monitoring tools such as IBM Netcool, CheckMK, Nagios or similar systems.

    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret monitoring data and identify trends or potential issues.

    Experience with change management processes and procedures.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

    Familiarity with ITIL framework and principles is a plus.

    Communication in the English language on daily basis.
