We support our colleagues from the pharmacology research in automating the analysis of data they need, or they create in their daily routine. We investigate and apply modern methods from the statistics, image processing or machine learning to create tools that make the research more efficient and faster. In development we follow the best practices for design and coding and out ambition is to build high quality, re-usable and readable code with clear user interface. We are an international team with English as communication language and we welcome new team members that can contribute to our experience in mathematical modelling, machine learning or programming.

Primary job responsibilities include:

• As a team member you will participate in preparation and validation of mathematical and statistical models for available medical and pharmacological data on daily basis. With help of other team members, you will contribute to all phases of the development: selection of the appropriate mathematical/technological approach, design, coding, testing and discussions with business stakeholders.
• You will have opportunities to try and apply advanced techniques such as simulations, optimizations, or machine learning in Python in collaborative environment based on Jira and git.
• You will take part in the assessment of the modelling results from executing the computer experiments to the interpretation of their results. In discussions with colleagues, you will draw conclusions, identify options for improvement, and make appropriate recommendations.
• You will contribute to the discussions with the business stakeholders: documenting and explaining your work, the results, and suggestions. You will have space to develop understanding of the business context and domain expertise needed for your decisions at the level appropriate to junior position.
• You will stay in touch with modern methodology in realm of predictive modelling, machine learning and artificial intelligence and you will have opportunities for hands-on experience of these technologies in your work.

Qualifications, experience and skills

• Are you passionate in advanced analytics, mathematics and programming? We are looking for colleagues that are!
• Fluent in English
• Have good understanding of mathematical background of the modern technologies used in data science
• Have good background in programming with Python or R
• Have extensive knowledge in one or more of the following areas: mathematical analysis and modelling, probability, stochastic processes, econometrics, machine learning, optimization, simulation.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work with incomplete or imperfect data.
