What you’ll be working on:

Identify and develop strategic partnerships

  • Research and target potential partners, including other technology startups, industry influencers, and potentially software implementers.
  • Maintain and develop long-term relationships with key partners.

Manage partnership lifecycle

  • Oversee partnership onboarding, execution, and ongoing management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored partnership proposals and joint value propositions.
  • Negotiate contract terms and partnership agreements ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Implement partnership performance metrics and track success. Monitor return of investment of individual partnership.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure overall alignment.
  • Provide regular updates, strategic insights, and market trends to other teams.
  • Coordinate with marketing on co-marketing/branding campaigns.

Market and competitive analysis

  • Identify emerging opportunities and evaluate potential threats to current partnerships.
  • Leverage market insights to refine Apify’s value proposition in partnership engagements.

Innovation and process improvement

  • Initiate and lead pilot projects with potential partners to explore new collaboration models.
  • Develop scalable processes for partner engagement and/or revenue-sharing models.
  • Participate in industry events, webinars, and roundtables to represent Apify and build new business relationships.

Relationship-building and networking

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to establish and manage long-term partnerships.

Business development expertise

  • Demonstrated ability in identifying, negotiating, and closing partnership or similar deals.
  • Experience in creating compelling value propositions and partnership proposals.

Industry knowledge & technical insight

  • Solid understanding of the technology startups, particularly in web scraping, automation tools, and AI agents.
  • Ability to quickly learn and explain Apify’s product offerings to technical and business audience.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies especially in the area of LLMs.

Strategic thinking & problem solving

  • Ability to balance long-term vision with tactical execution.
  • Experience in managing complex projects from start to finish.

Project management and execution

  • Highly organized, with excellent prioritization skills.
  • Proven track record of managing projects across multiple teams and meeting tight deadlines.

Additional skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

By the end of the first 3 months, we expect you to:

  • Complete an onboarding process to gain a deep understanding of Apify’s product, competitors, and present-day partners.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams (sales, marketing, growth, product).
  • Conduct a thorough market research review to identify potential partnership opportunities.
  • Develop a preliminary list of target partners with an assessment and how it aligns with Apify’s goals.
  • Initiate at least one pilot project or collaboration with selected partner.
  • Start working on a “partnership handbook” that includes partnership models and success metrics.
  • Deliver a report of initial findings, market trends, insights into partnership building, and partnership proposals already in progress.
  • Present a partnership roadmap with clear short-term and long-term-targets.

By the end of the first 6 months, we expect you to:

  • Secure 2-3 strategic partnerships that contribute to increased brand visibility and revenue.
  • Improve existing partnerships to maximize long-term value.
  • Implement a scalable partner management process, including a partnership portal, tracking systems for performance metrics and periodic reviews.
  • Develop and implement partner onboarding for smooth integration and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, sales and growth teams to launch joint campaigns with key partners.
  • Prepare case studies and/or success stories to highlight mutual benefits for future partnerships candidates.
  • Present a detailed report to senior team with lessons learned, and recommendations for further scaling partnerships.
  • Set strategic goals for the upcoming year based on insights and feedback gathered over the initial six months.
